Reconnecting - thirty-five years on
Laudizen, my last hike in the White Mountains was on Mt Chocorua in the mid to late 70's. In 1978, I moved to Santa Rosa in Northern California, where I met my future wife, Sandra, on a canoe trip down the Russian River; three months later we were married. We lived in the Santa Cruz area for a while. In the mid 80's, I hired on at United Air Lines and moved back to Santa Rosa. In 1988, I transferred to the Seattle area. Did I mention the two wonderful children who are along on this journey, Natalie and Travis? I retired from UAL in 2005 and we moved to mid-coast Maine opting for a slower pace, and that about brings us up to the present time.
Motorcycles!!! The 1970 Honda 450, I have many stories about that bike, I had it for years, along with a 1967 triumph (a 650 with a single amal, short mufflers with no baffles), an old Yamaha RD 250, Yamaha XS650, Moto-Guzzi 850 t3 (I think it was mid 70's), 1975 BMW R-90S, 1982 BMW R100RS, 1993 Ducati 907, and now the 1994 Honda VFR750. I love the VFR, but I'm alway's looking for something interesting, maybe an old Norton, I've alway's wanted one. A few of these bikes were basket cases and others I rebuilt, just can't leave well enough alone.
Let me know what you've been up to for the last 35 years, I know we talked briefly over on the phone but printed word works best for me as I can always go back and review, take care.

( Editor's note:
Ed is an old friend; I sold him his first motorcycle in 1972, my 1970 Honda 450
from the Army years. Ed had a remarkable influence on my adult life, as he took me
on a most important and seminal adventure, my first trip to the White Mountains of New Hampshire
(follow this link to read that story:
AMC White
Mountain Guide). After my marriage in 1974, Ed and I lost touch with
each other. We have reconnected again, after thirty-five years.
